landscape of the Mona Lisa painting

In 2024 Caroline Cocciardi completed showcasing the landscape behind the Mona Lisa painting without the model at the Mona Lisa Restaurant in San Francisco, California.

Leonardo da Vinci originally painted the background with lapis lazuli, a vibrant blue, more precious than gold, which has since aged into shades of green.

The sole structure present in the landscape is a three-arched bridge, which is the subject of much debate regarding its location.
